Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin is a Canadian and actress from New Zealand. Born in Winnipeg however, she was raised in Wellington the city where she was born, she was the first actress to appear as a character in The Piano. In this romance film, at the age of eleven years of age, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th July 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. After responding to a call to auditions open at age nine and having no prior experience acting the actress was chosen for Flora McGrath's part. Flora is the daughter of the Scottish pianist, who was deaf. The couple moved to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century to plan a wedding. As a teenager, she made the move to America. Paquin was cast as the child title in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. In addition, she played the lead role on the screen in Fly Away Home, a film from that same year. Paquin portrayed Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She portrayed groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
