April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American She is one of a small set of females who've won medals in several Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days, she'll be aiming to claim her third Olympic medal alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. Ross is determined to earn more than just her first Olympic medal. It may well be that this is her only chance at winning, as she's 39 old. However, she's convinced that top prizes are in reach. Ross through NBC Boston, said that if the team plays well or at all they could win a gold. Also, it's the result of luck. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she resided with her parents and her sister. She went on to compete in many activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete, she also played indoor track and volleyball. She was definitely superior to the rest in the latter sport. Her college biography states that she played outside of the hitter middle blocker, and setter in her volleyball playing career in high school. She was awarded one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the Year in 1999, for her performance. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are continuing to play in 2017. But, Ross played a significant role in the world of beach volleyball before the pairing. In fact, she won multiple major tournaments in the past with two different partners. among them a volleyball icon. Between 2007 and 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Alongside Kessy Ross, she was a major force in the world circuit, winning an international title in 2009. The duo eventually captured an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) as well as Misty Maytreanor took home gold ahead of them. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor after she announced her retirement. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball trophy at Rio Olympics 2016. They were joined by Walsh Jennings. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her college years before becoming a professional. Ross's Trojans experience was impressive. The year 2000 was her freshman year. saw her earn the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the award and become an All-American. The Trojans could also make it to the Final Four with her help. In her sophomore season she was devastated by a personal loss and still managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. The last two years as a member of the Trojans team the team was led to success by winning two successive national titles. In 2003-2004, she was named as the most successful female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the US by The Honda Sports Award. Ross was an international relations student at USC. Unfortunately Ross mom Margie was not able to witness her daughter ascend to the highest levels of beach volleyball fame. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001. Ross was still a USC sophomore. She had breast cancer. She continues to keep her mother's memory close and dear. Margie is a source of inspiration, both off and on of the shore.
