Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life through her imaginative and creative imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she learned to read or write. The first guitar she received was gifted to her at the age of eighteen. She started singing at a Knoxville Tenn station by the age of 11. In the same year, she recorded her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. The singer established a name in the local scene while at high school, but always dreamed of having a bigger stage. When she was graduating in 1964 she moved to Nashville. The first charting record she had with Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show required a new singer at around the time. Parton accepted the job in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene beat out the collaborations. Parton composed "I I Will Never Forget You" in support of Wagoner just after the pair split. The song was ranked the top spot at No. This was the first time a single reached No.
