Lucy Liu is an American singer, actress, producer and a singer. She's attractive and intelligent actress who inspires many Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances in various popular television series her fame was boosted by joining the cast of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the evil Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren for Quentin's Kill Bill Volume 1. She also played leading roles in box-office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In the following years, she began to play characters that were prominent in animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen roles was not able to achieve recognition. Southland an critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that had Liu playing recurring characters, helped her establish her own identity.
